Reenactor Welcome and Information
We will give our visitors a glimpse of Civil War and ninetieth century life through Infantry and Artillery Firing demonstrations, Cavalry exhibitions, living history activities, vignettes, displays, and speakers. The main event will be the full battle between all forces on each day.
Registration begins Friday August 22, 2008 from 12 noon until 10pm, and again from 6am until 9:00am Saturday morning, with all reenactors to be in place no later then 9:30am both Saturday and Sunday.
Parking is very convenient to the camps and there are many food establishments within a short distance of the Hibernia. Food will also be for sale at camp on Friday evening.
One bag of complimentary ice will be provided for each registrant (tickets for the ice will be provided at registration) and Hibernia Park will provide the water and fire wood very convenient to the camps. Martin's Corner Fire Company will be available with a stand-by ambulance through out both days of the event.
A $100.00 bounty is being offered for the first Union and first Confederate Artillery units (full size piece) to be registered and confirmed for the event.
Also, we are encouraging anyone who plays a period instrument to bring it along to join in to play for the Saturday evening dance. This 'pick-up' band was one of the highlights of past events.
Fill out the Registration form on the link to the left, one form for each unit is all that is required, with all participant names listed on the form. Also each registrant must fill out a release form; this can be done at the event registration tent or sent in advance with the registration to save time during check in.
Registration Fees: $5.00 (12 years old and up)
