History
The original 97th was formed in 1861 in West Chester, Pennsylvania from volunteers from West Chester, Phoenixville, Kennett, New Town, Coatesville and surrounding areas.
Our reenacting group was formed in 1996 in the areas around Downingtown, Chester Co. Pennsylvania.
